Another Field Trip

Greyson's school took a city bus to the Denton historic square. They ate ice cream at Beth Marie's which is an old ice cream parlor with over 45 kinds of ice cream-all hand made on site.  Then they ate their lunches in the shade of the big oak trees as they listened to the live band.  The Court House hosts live music on the square every Wednesday throughout the summer.  It was loads of fun watching the kiddo's burn off all their ice cream calories dancing to the music.

It was funny to be here on a field trip.   I have to be in the Court House for  meetings at least 3 time a week through work.  I eat lunch at Beth Marie's often.   They have great sandwiches, too.

They stickered the kids with the kind of ice cream they wanted.

This picture shows a small section of the 5 story court house and the band setting up in the back- ground.
This is his teacher / school director, John, telling a few of the kids some of the history of the square.

Here's a movie I took on my phone of the band playing and the kids dancing around.   Greyson was becoming very tired at this point so you only see him dancing around in the first part of it.  At the end I tried to get a good shot of the old historic Court House but I'm standing too close and you can't really see it that well.

Going over to swim tonight at Shari's and then off to Bonham tomorrow morning.

Have a nice weekend everyone!
