Afternoon at the Lake

Earlier this week we took some neighborhood girls down to the lake to play in the warm sand before the ice cold wind blew in winter.  Here are some quick pictures of them having fun.

they we all love throwing sticks in the lake.

Megan was writing all our names in the sand, what nice stick writing she has.

Greyson really enjoys playing with them, it mostly consists of him trying to impress.  Lots of running and leaping (long jump style) into the sand with a loud "girls watch this" before each one.  I told the girls to get use to it, because they'll be hearing that from him for the next 16 years.

The family that lives at the other end of the street came down causally just to see what was going on also during the early (warmer) part of the week.  Their kids are -boys 4y and 6y, Girl 10y.  We know them well, they have been over plenty.   The kids saw the go cart out and asked David to take them for a ride.  He said sure but it only goes REALLY fast so you'll need to hold on REALLY good and teased them about how scary it would be.  I can't believe they still wanted to get on it.  Sorry no pictures. They took turns riding with him down the trail to the lake and back and since they had on the full face helmet when they returned it was impossible to tell if they liked it or not until we pealed the helmet off them.  But all three were smiles ear to ear.

Lots of outdoor fun loving kids in the neighborhood its really awesome to see them running and jumping and stick throwing all the time.  Greyson sure feels like he's in heaven everytime they are around.
