Weekend Fun

Nothing like a relaxing lake weekend and cooler weather.  Here are the three amigos...

They played great together all weekend.  Had to swim in the hot tub though not the pool because it was so awesomely chilly outside. 

We sat by the fire each night and chatted well the boys made pillow forts and flew paper airplanes off the balcony. 

Greyson and I left early Sunday morning to get back so we could spend some time with Dad.  We walked down to the lake we live near which is low enough finally to show some sand bars.  Greyson played for hours in the sand.  I watched the birds fly in and took pictures of him enjoying himself.  It was nice and warm (maybe 75) but it started raining on us lightly after we had been there a few hours so we decided to head home.   He was covered in wet sand and needed a bath anyway.

Shoveling sand over his shoulder, I put the camera away when I saw this was going to get messy.

   Dads weekend was more exciting than relaxing, he went to Bonham with a good friend from middle school who he doesn't get to see very often.  The only picture I saw of their trip was of the a copperhead snake which was one of two living in the water meter box that he almost stuck his hand in!!  The lake Greyson's playing in, in the above pictures is full of water moccasins at night time.  Nice state we live in eh??  There sure is something to be said for ground that freezes solid 3 months out of the year, sure wish we had it sometimes.
