How to explain sculpture to a 3 year old….

This is a very large piece of art that we often drive by.  Every time we do Greyson asks about it, this is usually the conversation we have.


GDY     "What's THAT Rach!!!?"
Me        "That's art, well no it's really sculpture, well it's both.  What do you think of it? Mommy thinks it's
               cool!"
GDY     "What sculpture do?"
Me        "Umm.....well not really anything it's just fun to look at, mommy really likes it."
GDY    "Does it turn on?"
Me        "no"
GDY    "Does it spin around in circles!!!?"
Me-       "nope, it's just to look at"
GDY    "Put food in it Rach?" with an evil giggle
Me       "Nope it's just art"
GDY    "Put food in it and spin it around!!" with another giggle

Does everything have to turn on to be worth anything to this kid??!!...this certainly came from his dad side and not mine...
