Shed and Bonham update

SHED- Well the doors aren't finished but hopefully they will be soon because we spent the better part of yesterday filling it with the contents of the barn. Surprisingly everything fit nicely, could use a little reorganizing but it's all in there with room to spare. And that means the barn / large garage is now completely EMPTY and all the silly left over from old owner shelves have been removed. David's very excited about his soon to be man cave. I just hope he hasn’t completely changed gears and does remember to do the doors for the shed.

BONHAM- David spent Friday and Saturday in Bonham. He was able to cut and bail some hay. Borrowing the bull from the neighbors didn't work out as well as expected so David had called out a beef cow consultant/ insemination guy. He talked with him for over two hours and looked over everything that he had been doing . He listed out everything that David needed to change and exactly what to do differently. He also bought a good quality bull from him in hope to not have to deal with the hassle of artificially insemination. He's young but because he's been handled a lot already he's a reportedly very calm and fence trained animal. Not sure he will be staying with the cows all the time, David wants to build him a separate pasture at some point. Dave's very happy with all the knowledge the consultant left him with feels like he's got a way better handle on what's going on with the cows and also now has someone to call if he's got a question which is great.

GDY and MOM - spent the weekend trying to get over our cold's/ allergy issues. We also had over Grand Mom Char and her dear friend Gerta for a visit on Sunday. David raced home just in time to join us for burger on the grill, Gerta's famous potato salad and apple pie. It was so nice to have them up to visit, so glad they drove all the way up to our house. Char brought GDY an early birthday present. Can't believe he turns 4 in less than two weeks. Anytime anyone asks him how old he is and he holds up 3 fingers with pride and belts out 'I'm three!" they always look at me in disbelief. Finally he'll be 4 and just a little big for his age instead freakishly big.
